Recently we held a party for Vann he has finally reached the days of retirement, he has been counting it down since the time he decided that he was going to retire. We had a party for him out at his and mom's place out in the country. Many, many people showed which pleased him very much, one of the guests was this little man, who is sometimes known as Ella's boyfriend, this is Ryan my bestfriends son. When Dawne and Steve got to the party Matt took him while Dawne took off of her coat and that is where he stayed for quite sometime which was kinda funny considering that he has not seen Matt all that much and also the way Matt looked we figured that he really wouldn't go to him but boy were we wrong he sat with Matt I say for almost a good hour we got some pictures of the girls with him and he played in Matt's lap he was quite content, he is showing signs of becoming a little man and boy does he ever look like dad now well that is what I think anyway.

My girls the artists. Anyoune who knows me knows that I try and dabble in a little bit of Tole Painting, well anytime I get out the paints the girls like to help especially Chloe. In the past month I took on a little project to make a little extra money so mom got me some work doing some signs for Lincourt, they have built a new piece on and decided that they would like to put up some commerative signs for the employees who have passed and for some employees, they have also named alot of the lounges and extra rooms that make up the building, anyway the girls are helping me try and get them done, here in this picture Ella is trying to paint on one of the many signs that I had to get done.

Hey everyone who keeps in touch with us through the blog, sorry it has been awhile since we have blogged. Halloween was more exciting this year, we had two little people to dress up. Little Chloe was Cinderella this year, she got her costume back in September and has been waiting for the time to come when she can where it I do have to confess though I let her where it a couple of times before it was time. This year she got great use out of her costume she went to a birthday party where they dressed up in their costumes because it was so close to Halloween and then she got to where it to a party that they had for the kids at Lincourt where my mom works and then she got to where it to the party that they had a preschool so we actually got our money's worth out of this one. Our little Ella was a giraffe for Halloween this year, we had a costume that Nanny Pat gave us for Chloe a few years ago, she had a good time she had her own little bucket that she carried to the door with her. A good time was had by all.

Oh the life of a fisherman. Finally the season is over but now it will take Matt until next season to get this scruff off. He doesn't look like the same person and some have not recognized him with this face, definately not getting any kisses from the girls cause they don't like the feel of it, as soon as he is finished working in the great outdoors he will get rid of it(I hope anyway). And don't worry mom Thibideau he will.

I know all you mothers out there are going is she crazy for letting her get in there, well I just happen to be getting laundry out of the dryer at the time and she thought that this would be the best place to be if she wanted to help, it was either this or have all my clean clothes on the floor cause her way of helping is to throw all the stuff on the floor.

I have to tell you that we have several cats living with us and they pretty much rule the roost much to Matt's dismiss. These days we have to keep a close eye on them because the mice and other rodents are looking for their winter homes which means that they are trying to move in with us. But with this nice weather that we have been having I have been encouraging the girls to play out on the deck so they get as much fresh air as possible. Well one beautiful afternoon I left the door open so they girls can go back and forth on the deck and this is what I found on the kitchen floor under the table, this frog now I'm guessing but I think that maybe a bird had caught it and maybe dropped it and the cats found it and thought they would bring it home to mommy or they actually did catch it and again brought it home to show it to mommy, in any event we got rid of that thing before Chloe saw it otherwise being the animal lover that she is she proably would have tried to give it mouth to mouth and bring it back to life so that she could keep it for a pet.

Well yesterday was the unofficial birthday for Ella, she had a wonderful time, when she finally came out of the fog after having a nap. She had a nice Winnie the Pooh cake and a little one for herself, that she really didn't get into like Chloe did, that's ok though all that sugar and all. Ella got a new baby just her own for her big day and a laugh and giggle Elmo chair, that when mommy got it home she found out that it didn't work. I knew I should have bought it at Walmart in Calais.

I know that Chloe got this toy for x-mas but Ella loves this thing. She makes her vroom, vroom sounds when she sits on it. And then when she is done doing that she stands on the seat and performs her death defying act. She is getting pretty good at standing on the seat now, no sooner do you take her down and put her on her bum is she standing back up on the seat again yelling at you, saying hey told you I was going to get right back up here when you turned your back.

Here she is folks, meet the new princess Chloe, well some people already knew that. She is miss high and mighty now, we even go the grocery store looking like this, hey sometimes the fight isn't worth it. Oh well she is great fun and she is funny too.

This little girl loves the water. She isn't doing laps around me yet but I don't think it is gonna take any time before she is. She has got less fear of the water than her older sister. Why just the other day she crawled into the shower with her auntie Ronee.

Mother always says that you got to teach them early. She held the broom long enough to get this pretty little picture and that was the end of that. Yes people she is standing and she is walking all on her own, she is everywhere she wants to be whenever she wants to be and everywhere I don't want her to be.

We went to the zoo how about you, you, you. After we left PEI we made a stop in Moncton at Magnetic Hill and went to the zoo. We met up with Katie and Micah and Matt's parents and Aunt Barb all came along and went to the zoo. Chloe and I experienced it together for the first time, it was a great time. They had a new lion exhibit and ostrich(I think I spelt that right). Eveybody had a great time, and the scorching heat made it that much more fun.

On Saturday July 8, we headed off to PEI early in the morning because Matt's cousin Allison was getting married at 4. It was a great drive, not much traffic on the road at 6 so we hummed right along, actually I'm glad we got started when we did so that we could be the heat, I knew it was going to be hot because it was 20 degrees on the Harbour bridge at 7:20 in the morning and that is hot for Saint John. Well we got to the island in good time and got to the wedding ok. The Aunties got to meet our new addition to the family, Aunt Barb and Aunt Nadine have never seen Ella so it was nice for everyone to be together. Chloe has got some superstar down in her toes, she decided that she should be in the wedding so she held Allison's flowers while she and Anthony said their vows to each other and then later on in the nite when Carl got out his guitar she serenaded everyone with her rendition of Twinkle Twinkle. We all left pretty early in the evening knowing that we had a long drive the next morning and a stop a the zoo in Moncton.

This poor child, you'd think that she had never eaten before. This is the first time that I have given her potatoes to give to herself and as you can see she really got into it. She had a really good time I'm just glad that it was really close to bath time cause it was absolutly neccesary.

July 4th was little Ryan's birthday, hard to believe that it has been a whole year already. We all went and had a great time, we had hot dogs and hamburgers and cake and ice cream, opened lots of gifts and Chloe even got to take a little four wheeler for a ride that she then flipped over onto herself into the ditch, don't worry just a few bruises, nothing serious. Steve rescued her from her messy situation. Poor guy had such a long day that he had to have a nap before the party was even over. Well Dawne had to go back to work on Monday but she made out great.

On July 25 we had Chloe's party at mom's house.
The kids enjoyed the pool, and played around with the toys that were provided. Chloe had a good birthday she had a princess cake it had Ariel and Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Jasmine, and no for some reason Snow White was not present. She got lots of nice stuff, she got a wonderful tent from Bert, Nancy, Katie and Micah, she got a Baby Bratz doll from mommy,daddy and Chloe, she even got a nice drum set from Grampy Steve and Becky I have to say that has got to be the best one of all.

Ronee and I took the girls on a little day trip after Chloe got out of preschool, we took them to St. Andrews where we went to Indian Point and they walked out in the seaweed, Chloe's shoe got sucked in but Ronee rescued it, we also took them down to the block house and took a walk out on the sandbar. By the way Ronee got a new camera for her birthday so she has become snap happy.

Here are the girls they are in Ella's new little pool, we have had a few warm days, some warm enough that Ella has gotten a heat rash up her back but she is no worse for the wear.

I can tell you just by the looks that Ella gets on her face when she is about to do something, she is going to be the one that we have to keep an eye on. I bought Ella a little one ring pool so that she could have some enjoyment while Chloe plays in the sprinkler that Ronee got for her. I thought that maybe she might be a little bit timid of it but she went right in and kept going back.

Sorry these aren't the greatest pictures, we have it on video. On wednesday June 14 the had a graduation for the kids that Chloe goes to preschool with that are moving on to kindergarten, she will be returning next year to Patsy's. On this day the sang about their colors and the days of the week, the girls even sang twinkle twinkle to the crowd, it was alot of fun and she will not be alone when she goes back there are two other kids going back too.

Early last week Matt and the other guy that he works with got a little hung up so Ronee and the girls and I went down to visit him at the site where he is working. The tide was out so Chloe got her rubber boots on and we went looking for some starfish and other things, we didn't find and starfish but she got lots of big shells, someone said that they were oyster shells and she brought them home and painted them, we had a good time roaming around while the tide was out so much so that I am sure that we will go back again another day.

Every year here they hold a carnival for the kids to help raise money for the IWK kids hospital and this year we got a chance to go. It was actually the best day for it, it rained cats and dogs so noone really minded being inside for a couple of hours. It really is a great setup, you buy tickets at the door and then go around and play all the games or buy food with the tickets that you got, Chloe got her face painted with a flower and she even got a Snow White tattoo on her shin(which still hasn't come off) but she had a good time she did some fishing and she bowled and she even got to throw a dart or two.

Mia Hamm look out here is our girl in action, we had our first soccer practice tonite, as you can see she is already to go and would have gotten ready alot sooner if she could have(like right after preschool), but she managed. She did really well dribbling the ball around and kicking the ball around the field and she is even more excited because Abby who goes to school with her is on the same team, so hopefully she will have a good summer on the team.

Every year my mom and Vann have a Easter egg hunt for the kids out at there house, they can run and play and carry on. So Sunday afternoon after church we went out to mom's and waited for the rest of the kids to get there so that they could find their eggs. Well when it was time to get going as you can see from the first picture she took off like a drag car at the races, couldn't keep up with her to take any pictures, she had a good time though and I think that they found all the eggs that were hidden, last year they were finding eggs well into the fall, they weren't so complicated with hiding them this year. At the end of the day we had a good supper of ham and turkey and all the fixins we even tried fuit crepes that everyone who had enjoyed and they kinda topped off the big meal rather nicely and they weren't real fattening either.

This is Chloe all dressed up for Easter service on Sunday morning, when we were kids we always got something to wear to church so we have tried to carry on that tradition with the girls too. She also got entirely way to much chocolate that Matt has got many a belly ache over this week, but I warned him when the bunny was picking out all the stuff for her that we would be the ones that eat it, which I guess is a long standing tradition here too because mom use to get Ronee and I white chocolate bunnies for Easter because she knew that we didn't like them.

Well it being the Easter holidays and all we decided that we were going to color some eggs on Saturday nite. I think that we made out pretty well, we only lost one egg(hard-boiled) and that was because I myself dropped it. Matt even got into the mix of things and painted an egg too.

Today was a school day and some days it is a great fight to get Chloe to dress appropriately, well this morning was one of those days. She is miss independent, she put her pants on backwards and wanted to leave them like that, and then she wanted to have her hair done like this, like the girl on Lazy Town so the fight was either we wear our hair like this to school or turn our pants around so that they were on the right way, well obviously from this picture you guys know which one won, she turned hre pants around, I told her that the kids at school would laugh but she doesn't care she went for it, it is a much happier place to be if you just go with the flow and kinda compromise one thing for another.

Well today was our 6 month appointment at the doctors office. She had to have 3 shots today, not exactly sure what they were for but obviously she needed them otherwise they wouldn't put them through that pain. While we were there we were also weighed, now when Chloe was a year old my moms turkey at Thanksgiving weighed more than she did but not Ella she has passed that point and is moving on to being the turkey in the family, she now weighs 19lbs8oz which is a healthy weight, I think in order to survive in this household with her sister and the other kids that play at moms she needs to be a good fighting weight and let me tell you she is well on her way.

Chloe has made a new friend, one that she is not keeping, but she loves her anyway. We have got a new batch of kitties(of which all have homes) and Chloe has decided that this one should be hers because she has never had a baby kitty before, tell that to the 2 that she ditched when this one came along, they are from a batch that we had last winter. She is a good girl though because, there was a nice older lady that came by on Saturday to look at the kitty and she did not want to give her up but by the time she came, she was alright with making this lady happy be giving her, her new little friend.

Well anyone from Matt's family will know that if hotdogs were put on the Canada food guide that would make him the happiest man on earth. Well it is 10 o'clock in the morning you know that time of day when we could have pancakes or eggs something good but know she wants hotdogs and could you really argue with these days because she is quite persistent, I should be glad that she is eating at all I guess.

It is now Sunday and it has been about a week since Chloe has taken her dive, it is getting better, now we just have to make sure that she doesn't pick her nose, try telling her not to do that at this stage in her life, haha. Anyway it is starting to heal because it is starting to itch and peel a bit so we are keeping the ointment on it and the fingers away. Soon we will be all better and ready for another accident.

Well as you all know that this week is March break and Chloe doesn't have preschool either, so with the weather being as nice as it has been( she thinks when the sun is out it is hot) she has been itching to go outside. Well she got outside on Monday afternoon and had a little accident, from the story she tells us she was playing on her sand box which currently has a sheet of ice on it, she fell and somehow scraped her nose, must have been the perfect swan dive. When she came in the house she had this mark on her nose that looked to me like she had a dirty nose but as the day progressed it turned out to be a wonderful skidded mark that has developed into a wonderful scab. We are hoping that it will be gone before we go back to school on Tuesday, but at least everyone will know that she had an eventful break.

This is my ill fated attempt to give Ella some sweet potatoes, thank goodness she likes these cause we had a little problem with carrotts, she would actually go into full body shivers when I was trying to feed them to her. We aren't doing to bad with the new food some is better than others.

Here they are my little superstar girls. We are trying to teach the art of sharing , so they share the glasses, of course what is Ella's , Chloe would like to play with but what is Chloe's nobody can have, luckily I intervened on the glasses cause they are so darn cute on both of them. I know that in this picture you can't see them of course but Ella has got her ears peirced, and I know what you people are saying how could she do that to her when she is so small well I paid for her when the poor little thing was crying, in my defence though this is the best time to do it because they do not play with them like they would if they were older and get infections in them, we have never have problems with Chloe's ears and she was small when she got hers done, you just have to see her they are so cute.

Now I don't want to alarm anyone but Chloe tells me that she has the itchy oochy and I'm not sure what that is but JoJo has it too, she is the clown off of Jojo's Circus on tv, the only way to cure it is to obviously scratch and put some itchy oochy cream on, so we found some cream for it and it appears that everything is getting better as the day goes on.

We have changed her name from Ella to Kissy kissy she loves to just grab and get ya, I think here she has got a hold of my lip and she is not letting go. In the other pictures she has got me too. I think that she might have some teeth moving around in there that could be why she felt it was necessary to bite mom on the lips and not let go.

Poor Chloe see has a kittie that she really likes to snuggle with, well I guess he either thought that she was being too friendly or he was playing with her, either way he took a good swipe at her and got her right in her hair line, didn't look too bad till the scratches came out that run down her forehead. It's a good thing that we have our princess bandages because that makes it all better.

Daddy always says that she is going to play for the gold medal team someday, I just hope she gets over the fact that the ice is slippery. We got her some skates and a helmet (so we can keep those pretty teeth) and we set off for moms on Sunday, Vannie has found a nice little pond down in the woods and it froze rather nicely so he got it plowed off and now the kids can skate on it weather permitting that is.

Naked Finger Painting
Anyone who has kids will understand why it has to be this way, Chloe took the whole concept of finger painting to a whole new level and decided that she needed to use her whole hand. I knew from past experience with her that she would do something along those lines so I made her do it like this. I got her very prepared for the situation with a large roll of paper that I put out on the floor and nothing or so I thought that she could get into too, while I was absent she thought that she would step in the paint on the paper and walk around the house, thank heavens I caught her before she did, but that didn't stop her from trying to put her hands prints everywhere, of which I now have a lovely set on my carpet. Once all the pots of paint were gone and I mean gone, we had to wash up and that meant getting into the shower because nothing else would have worked. She still had colored hands for a couple of days but no worse for the wear. I would like to thank the person or persons who thought it would be a good idea to give her this for x-mas and maybe send them the bill for getting my carpet cleaned

Chloe has discovered fluff, and that is the only thing that she now wants to eat, she can't remember what it is called from day to day but she still wants it.
